I've been informed by a-bad-friend [link] that you can't use screencaps for fan art, (FAQ #572) so I've taken my gallery down. If you want to read the comics, everything can still be found at my site, [link] and on Tumblr. I'm grateful for the heads up. That being said....
Before I was informed of 572, a-bad-friend wrote this:
"Most of what you say is true, yes. Unfortunately that still doesn't mean I'm wrong when I say that your slapping text on movie screencaps isn't funny or thought-provoking at all. Dismiss me all you like (and I really would recommend dismissing me instead of wasting more time on responding, if you truly believe my opinion lacks merit).
I do have a lot to say, though. Not about your "work", since it's not interesting on any level, but a lot of the time there's some constructive criticism embedded in the bile I spew."
To which I responded:
"I never said you were wrong about me, I said it's subjective. But I also said you lack credibility. No one can take your insults seriously if all you do here is pester people. Your profile has nothing on it (so sad). You actually joined an art community for the sole purpose of finding things to dislike. And you think I'M wasting MY time?
I've already read you're other comments, and I still think you have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say. I'd love to see this constructive criticism you're talking about. It really just looks like brainless jeering from someone who can't do squat herself.
You, my dear, suck balls. And saying that out load -- where everyone you've insulted can see it -- is a fantastic way to spend 30 seconds."

Always fun meeting another POTC fan. If you feel like drawing (even if you dont finish) May I please request Barbossa and Jack be awsom togather? They do that so well those bloody pirates.
The art I used to enjoy was fanart, fanfiction and drawing. When I lost my free time, I got out of the habit and that's what messed me up. I've atrophied. It's like I have something on the tip of my tongue, only artistically. I used to be really prolific and now I just can't finish anything. For example:
I wrote my first PoTC fic in less than a month (Jan-Feb, '04) and it was by far the longest fic I've ever written. I started planning a follow-up, and I still haven't finished it.
